Easton Architects has been retained by the County of Passaic through an open bidding process to provide on-call Historic Preservation Architect/Preservation Consulting Services for the Department of Public & Cultural Affairs for the 2021 calendar year. The County owns a number of historic properties and assets that are annually assessed, with the goal of applying the most appropriate approach to the research, preservation and maintenance of the properties and cultural and historic resources.
A significant qualification is prequalification with the National Park Service and the requirements outlined in the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Preservation Architecture, which Easton Architects and each staff member meet. This requires the proper education and a thorough working knowledge and understanding that all work done on these properties must conform to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and is subject to review by the State Historic Preservation Office.
