Our methodology is based philosophically on accepted and established preservation theory and practice as advocated by The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the American Institute of Conservation. As much original material as possible shall be maintained, interventions shall be the minimum necessary to ensure the extended life of all building and landscape features, and all restoration procedures shall be proven reversible where feasible and accurately recorded. The Easton Architects team consists of preservation architects, historians, and architectural conservators with extensive experience and knowledge of building technologies and materials. Our deep knowledge of The Standards creates a foundation for all our work and we are adept at creating design solutions that respect these guidelines.
